Identity verification is a necessary first step before you can buy and save in Bitcoin with us. Until now, our clients had to photograph their ID document and take a selfie. Now, however, there’s a second option that significantly simplifies this step: verification via Bank iD.

What is Bank iD and how does it work

Bank iD is a way to verify your identity using your online banking. Your bank has already verified your identity in the past and knows who you are. The Bank iD service can share this already-verified identity with other services, including Invity. Naturally, only with your consent.

Instead of photographing your documents, sending them online and taking a selfie, you simply log in to your online banking and confirm that you agree to share your identification data with Invity. The rest happens automatically in the background. This makes the whole process much simpler and faster.

How to use Bank iD in the Invity app

Verification via Bank iD is available in the app right after you register as a new user.

The process is simple:

  1. When verifying your identity, choose “Verify via Bank iD” (instead of the traditional “Verify with ID and selfie”).
  2. Select your bank from the list of supported banks.
  3. Log in to your online banking and confirm your consent to share data.
  4. Invity receives the necessary identification data and completes verification, in most cases instantly.

If, for any reason, verification cannot be completed through Bank iD alone, the system will safely redirect you to an additional step or to the traditional document verification. You will always be clearly informed about the progress.

Who Bank iD is for

Bank iD is currently available only to users in the Czech Republic who have online banking set up with one of the supported banks. For users outside the Czech Republic, or for those who prefer not to use Bank iD, traditional verification with an ID document and selfie remains fully available.
